Quick selection guide
If radiant heat is the main culprit, choose the reflective sleeve with aluminium layer. Want to fit without disconnecting anything, or remove the sleeve often for maintenance, then the Kevlar sleeve with velcro is the right one. Mainly want to apply an insulation layer to keep heat in or out, choose the premium insulation sleeve up to 550 °C, in cream white or with a robust black outer side. And where welding spatter, sparks and mechanical load occur, such as in foundries and engine rooms, choose the silicone insulation sleeve with DNV-GL certification.

Which diameter of cable protection do I need?
Measure the outer diameter of the cable, cable bundle or hose and choose the nearest size above it, so the sleeve slides over smoothly; this is how you determine the size.
What is the difference between reflecting and insulating?
A reflective sleeve bounces radiant heat from an external source back; an insulation sleeve builds an insulating layer that slows heat in both directions. Every product lists its maximum contact and radiant values.
Can I fit the protection without disconnecting the cable?
Yes, that is what the Kevlar sleeve with velcro is for: fold open, wrap around the cable and press shut.
