Description

The Insulfrax LTX Blanket is a premium insulation mat made from AES wool (alkaline earth silicate fibre). It combines outstanding thermal performance with user-friendly features such as flexibility, low dust levels, and easy handling. Thanks to its enhanced fibre technology, this product is ideal for reducing energy consumption and emissions in high-temperature environments.

Installation Instructions

The Insulfrax LTX Blanket is easy to cut and install without the need for special tools. Its low-dust construction allows for quick and clean installation. The surface print enables easier identification during installation and inspection. It can be applied directly onto metal surfaces or as backing insulation behind stone wool or fibre cement boards.

What is a silica aerogel blanket?

A blanket of silica fibres impregnated with aerogel, one of the best insulating materials in existence. A thin layer of 3 to 10 mm therefore already delivers a very high insulation value, ideal where space is tight; read here how that works.

Up to what temperature are the blankets resistant?

The Insulfrax LTX blankets up to 1200 °C, the stitched silica blanket up to 1000 °C and the aerogel and needle felt blankets up to 800 and 200 °C respectively. The class is listed on every product.

Which thickness should I choose?

The thicker the blanket, the greater the insulating power: choose 3 to 10 mm aerogel where space is tight, and 25 or 50 mm Insulfrax where maximum thermal protection is needed.
