Product Description

Gluecon 1000 is a high-quality, heat-resistant adhesive consisting of a mixture of various inorganic substances. This adhesive is non-combustible and does not produce smoke when overheated. At temperatures exceeding 1000°C, the adhesive will melt but will not burn. The product is particularly suitable for bonding thermal insulation materials, as it can withstand extreme temperatures.

Gluecon 1000 adheres well to almost all substrates, including steel and other materials. Due to its high pH value, it does not damage steel but may cause slight damage to aluminum under humid conditions. Gluecon 1000 is durable, odorless, and resistant to mold, bacteria, and pests.

• At 10 RPM: 9385 centipoise
• At 20 RPM: 5060 centipoise

Applications

Gluecon 1000 is suitable for various insulation applications, including:

• Pumicon (Vermiculite) boards, trays, and shapes
• Other insulation boards such as silicate boards
• Fireproof bricks
• Packaging
• Ceramic fiber blankets

Usage

Gluecon 1000 is ready-to-use and can be applied directly. If necessary, the adhesive can be thickened with Vermiculite powder or diluted with water for easier application.

Testing and Certifications

Gluecon 1000 has been tested and meets the standards for non-combustibility according to the EN-ISO 1182:2002 method and Euroclass classification EN13501-1:2002, as well as IMO Resolution A.799(19). Report numbers: 2006-CVB-R0524 and 2006-CVB-R0521 (available upon request).
