About Armaflex

Armaflex is the best-known brand of flexible insulation foam: it counters heat loss, damps sound and prevents condensation. At Heat Shieldings you will find the self-adhesive mats in the HOME and AF series.

Which Armaflex to choose

AF/Armaflex is the high-grade version for condensation and moisture sensitive applications such as campers, vanlife and maritime; Armaflex HOME is the successor of the former XG version for general insulation. The self-adhesive sheets have a peelable liner and are applied directly to the surface, also on difficult shapes. The full overview, including HT and halogen-free NH versions, is in Armaflex insulation: what is it and which version to choose? You will also find the mats in the acoustic and thermal foam collection.

Frequently asked questions

Which Armaflex thickness do I need?

For light insulation and sound damping 6 to 10 mm is sufficient; for campers and boats where condensation prevention and thermal comfort count, choose 19 to 32 mm. Measure the available space behind panels before choosing.

How do I apply Armaflex?

Clean and degrease the surface, cut the mat to size, peel the liner off step by step and press on without stretching. At seams, butt the mats coldly against each other.
