About Heat-resistant silicone insulating sleeve
The heat-resistant silicone insulation sleeve protects hoses, cables and pipes against extreme heat, liquid metal and welding spatter and slag and resin build-up. Made of knitted fiberglass with silicone rubber coating, continuously resistant from -54 to +260 °C and briefly up to 1650 °C.
Applications of the silicone sleeve
The sleeve prevents burns on metal-braided hoses, valves, manifolds and exhaust systems, and limits heat and energy loss on hot pipes. Typical environments are foundries, glass factories and engine rooms, where spatter and radiation occur daily. The signal red colour marks hot parts; the black version is for applications where the sleeve should be unobtrusive. The collection also holds matching black silicone tape (25 mm x 3.6 m) for finishing the ends.

When do I choose silicone instead of a reflective sleeve?
When mechanical protection and resistance to welding spatter and sparks make the difference, and you also want to insulate. The sleeve is continuously resistant from -54 to +260 °C and briefly against higher peaks; versions with DIN EN45545 listing can be relevant for rail applications.
