Round stove rope on a roll for wood stoves

Measure the circumference of the door groove and add a few centimetres of margin for the joint. Rolls of 25 or 50 m are economical when you maintain several doors or stoves; separate lengths are available by the metre.

Pull the old rope out carefully, remove glue and rope residue with a wire brush, degrease the groove, apply a thin line of HS1100 stove adhesive of about a quarter of the rope thickness and roll the new rope in without stretching or twisting. See the full guide.

The heat-resistant end tape of 25 mm x 15 cm finishes the rope ends neatly, so they do not fray at the joint.
