About Heat reflective covers
Heat reflective sleeves protect cables, hoses and pipes that lie close to a heat source, such as an exhaust or hot machine parts. The fiberglass sleeve with bonded aluminium reflective layer bounces radiant heat back before it reaches the cable.
Why shield cables
Cables that lie too close to heat age faster and can cause malfunctions, short circuits or even fire. A reflective sleeve simply slides over the cable or hose and immediately forms a barrier against the heat source: the cable stays cooler and lasts longer. Which sleeve diameter do I need?
Measure the outer diameter of the cable or cable bundle and choose the nearest size above it, so the sleeve slides over smoothly. This is how you determine the right size.
Up to what temperature does the sleeve protect?
The sleeve withstands up to 200 °C contact heat and repels radiant heat up to 950 °C. Both values are listed on every product.
Can I cut the sleeve to length?
Yes, the sleeve is available by the metre and can be cut to size. Finish the end with heat-resistant end tape for a neat seal.
