About Felt Acoustic and Thermal
Acoustic felt damps sound and insulates heat in one layer. It is the neat finishing layer for under the bonnet and under carpet, where foam would be too thick or too vulnerable.
Application
Under the bonnet the felt damps engine noise at the source and withstands the heat of the engine compartment; under carpet and upholstery it takes driving noises out of the interior. The Aquafon blanket combines sound damping with fire resistance for engine rooms and technical spaces. How do I fit the felt?
The Black Under Hood felt is self-adhesive: clean and degrease the surface, cut to size, remove the liner and press on. Under Carpet Lite is laid loose under the carpet or upholstery.

Depending on the product 130 to 176 °C contact heat; the exact values are listed per product.
