About PTFE Thread Seal Tape
Uniflexon UFX ePTFE sealing tape is a self-adhesive, flexible seal of expanded PTFE for flat sealing zones such as flange joints and lids. The tape moulds itself to irregularities and thus replaces a cut gasket.
Application and fitting
The tape is applied across the full sealing zone: clean the surface, peel off the liner, press the tape on and then tighten the joint as usual. Because you cut the tape to length on the spot, you need no stock of cut gaskets. The technical datasheet and fitting instructions are available as downloads on the product pages. Up to what temperature is ePTFE sealing tape resistant?
Up to 260 °C. The Uniflexon UFX tape is available in widths from 10 to 20 mm, thicknesses from 3 to 7 mm and roll lengths from 8 to 17 metres.

Why ePTFE instead of a cut gasket?
One roll of tape covers a wide range of flange sizes: you cut the length you need and the flexible ePTFE moulds itself to the sealing zone. That saves stock and custom cutting.
