The profile follows the shape of the groove. Round rope seals grooves and door profiles, for example in stove and oven doors. Square rope fits rectangular grooves in doors and lids of ovens, boilers and stoves. Flat rope seals flat seams and glass panels and is self-adhesive, so it can be fitted without glue. In industry, fiberglass rope is used to seal doors, valves and linings of ovens, boilers and combustion plants, in drying ovens, reactors and heat exchangers, and for joints in flue gas ducts and chimneys. It also keeps its sealing performance in exhaust systems and on flanges in the petrochemical industry, under high temperatures and chemical exposure.
