Description
For repairing damaged insulation, wrapping pipes, valves and other hard-to-reach objects, and covering and securing seams and ends.
Thermal and heat-insulating material based on foam rubber, with sound-absorbing and sound-damping properties. It is very flexible, which makes the material suitable for treating difficult surfaces. The product is oil-resistant and non-flammable and does not release toxic substances, so it can be used on almost any type of surface.
- Material composition: foam rubber
- Prevents condensation, resistant to mould and bacteria.
- Thermal conductivity [W/(m °K)] at 0°C: 0.033.
- Water vapour diffusion resistance (EN 12086) μ ≥ 7000, fire behaviour (EN 13501): B - s3, d0.
- Heat resistant up to 85°C direct heat
- Water resistant & self-adhesive

Frequently asked questions
Which heat-resistant tape should I choose?
Choose finishing tape to finish edges and seams of insulation material, and reflective tape to apply a heat-reflecting layer; see the explanation above.
Up to what temperature is heat-resistant tape resistant?
Contact heat 85 to 550 °C, depending on the product: from foam rubber and silicone tapes to fiberglass tape up to 550 °C. Reflective tapes additionally withstand radiant heat up to 425 °C.
Does the tape adhere to every surface?
The self-adhesive tapes adhere best to a clean, grease-free and dry surface. Degrease the surface and press the tape on firmly; the self-vulcanising tape does not bond to the surface but to itself, and can therefore also be used on wet or greasy hoses.
